Thrive Together Community CIC
Our Mission
Thrive Together Community CIC is a UK-based social enterprise dedicated to strengthening communities and supporting young people through education, creativity, and community engagement.
Our work promotes inclusion, resilience, and wellbeing through creative initiatives, educational resources, and community-focused programmes that bring people together.
Every project we deliver is designed to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for learning, connection, and personal growth.
As a Community Interest Company, every penny we raise is reinvested into community projects that support young people, families, and local communities.
About the Founder
Kathy Grubb is the Founder and Director of Thrive Together Community CIC, an organisation created from lived experience and a passion for helping young people and communities feel heard, supported, included, and empowered.
Alongside leading Thrive Together, Kathy also serves as a Parish Councillor, supporting residents and contributing to community development, partnership working, and initiatives that strengthen connection, wellbeing, and opportunities within the community.
Kathy is also a School Governor at Hetts Lane Primary School, where she supports the strategic development of the school and works alongside fellow governors and staff to help promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for children and families.
Through her work, Kathy develops educational resources, books, workshops, and community initiatives that open conversations around resilience, wellbeing, kindness, inclusion, and personal growth.
Her books — including Knives Take Lives, Zero Bullies Allowed, Being Me: Thriving with Neurodiversity, and Stronger Than Stigma: Understanding Mental Health — are used by schools and organisations to support young people in exploring important topics such as safety, respect, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing.
Kathy works collaboratively with community organisations, charities, schools, and local councils to develop projects that respond to community needs, strengthen local connections, and encourage positive engagement across all ages.
She holds an Enhanced DBS and is a Designated Safeguarding Lead, with training and experience in Family Support, Counselling, Mental Health First Aid, Safeguarding, Governance, Risk Management, and Project Management. This ensures safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing remain central to all Thrive Together activities.
Kathy’s voluntary roles within the community provide valuable insight into local needs, partnership working, and the importance of strong community connections. Through these roles, she continues to develop an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing individuals, families, schools, and communities.
Thrive Together Community CIC remains an independent organisation with its own governance, policies, and decision-making processes, while working collaboratively with partners to create positive opportunities and lasting community impact.
Together we grow: empowering resilience, inspiring growth.
