Community Projects
Thrive Together Community CIC works with schools, charities, and community organisations to create projects that bring people together, support wellbeing, and encourage positive conversations across communities.

• Christmas Storytelling Event
Crescent View Pre-School – Supported by the Co-op Community Fund
Thrive Together Community CIC delivered a festive storytelling session at Crescent View Pre-School, bringing children together to enjoy a story celebrating kindness, friendship, and community spirit.
The session encouraged imagination, participation, and confidence while creating a warm and engaging festive experience for the children.
This event was supported through funding from the Co-op Community Fund, helping make the session accessible for the preschool and families involved.
Christmastime session at Crescent View Pre-School supported by the Co-op Community Fund.
• International Women’s Day community raffle.
Community Support – Black Market Venue
Thrive Together Community CIC is grateful for the ongoing support of Siobhan and the team at the Black Market Venue, who regularly support community activities and fundraising efforts that help strengthen local connections.
Their willingness to host and organise community raffles and events helps bring people together while supporting grassroots initiatives that benefit the wider community.
Partnerships like this are an important part of Thrive’s work, helping create welcoming spaces where people can connect, support one another, and take part in positive community activities.
•The Talbot – Community Fundraiser
Thrive Together Community CIC hosted a Valentine’s community raffle at The Talbot, bringing local residents together for a fun and friendly fundraising event.
The raffle helped raise £150 for community activities, with the winning prize going to Bobby Grey.
Events like this are a simple but important way of bringing people together, strengthening community spirit, and supporting future projects that benefit local residents.
• Sherwood Forest Plaque Day
Warsop Town Hall – 20 February
Thrive Together Community CIC was proud to sponsor the Sherwood Forest plaque installed at Warsop Town Hall, helping to celebrate the village’s connection to the historic Sherwood Forest area.
The plaque forms part of a wider initiative recognising local heritage and strengthening community identity across the region. By supporting this project, Thrive was able to contribute to an event that brought residents together and highlighted the importance of preserving local history for future generations.
The unveiling took place on 20 February at Warsop Town Hall, where members of the community gathered to celebrate this important addition to the village.
Growing Community Projects
Thrive Together Community CIC continues to explore new opportunities to support young people and strengthen communities through creative engagement, education, and partnership working.

Thrive Together at the Nether Langwith Summer Party – 17th July 2026
On Friday 17th July 2026, Thrive Together Community CIC was delighted to be part of the Nether Langwith Summer Party, joining local families, residents and community groups for a wonderful afternoon and evening of fun, laughter and connection.
We brought along our Thrive Together stall, giving us the opportunity to meet people from across the community, chat about our work, share our vision and hear more about the things that matter to local residents.
The event was a fantastic celebration of community spirit, with something for everyone to enjoy. The photos capture just some of the brilliant moments from the day — children laughing and playing together, families enjoying picnics and delicious food, music bringing everyone together, and the much-loved paper boat race creating smiles and excitement.
The stream became a place of adventure for the children, with little explorers enjoying the water, making memories and simply enjoying being outdoors with friends and family. From games and activities to conversations over a cuppa, the whole event showed what happens when communities come together.
It was wonderful to see so many generations sharing the same space, enjoying each other's company and creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt included.
A huge thank you to everyone who organised the Nether Langwith Summer Party, all the volunteers who helped make it happen, and everyone who came along and supported the event.
At Thrive Together, we believe strong communities are built through connection, kindness and opportunities for people to come together. Events like this remind us exactly why community matters.

Young Voices Shaping the Future of Warsop
At Thrive Together Community CIC, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to have their voice heard and to understand that their ideas can help shape the future of their community.
It was a privilege to support two inspiring visits to the Warsop Parish Council Chamber, where pupils from Birklands Primary School and Sherwood Junior School took part in an engaging session exploring local democracy, leadership, and community decision-making.
The children stepped into the role of councillors, electing their own Chair before debating local issues, sharing ideas, and learning how decisions are made within their community. They also enjoyed trying on the civic regalia, discovering the history of the Council Chamber, and, of course, having the opportunity to call "Order!" with the ceremonial gavel.
One of the most exciting parts of the visit was contributing ideas for the future development of Swallows Green, as part of a community consultation connected to the East Midlands Combined County Authority Community Development Fund. The pupils shared thoughtful, imaginative, and practical suggestions about what they would like to see in their local community, demonstrating just how valuable young voices can be.
The sessions were filled with enthusiasm, curiosity, confidence, and respect. Every child contributed, listened to others, and showed a genuine interest in making their community an even better place to live.
At Thrive Together Community CIC, we are passionate about creating opportunities where young people feel listened to, valued, and empowered. Experiences like these help build confidence, develop communication skills, encourage teamwork, and inspire children to become active members of their communities.
We would like to thank Warsop Parish Council, the staff and pupils from Birklands Primary School and Sherwood Junior School, and everyone involved in making these sessions such a success.
We look forward to welcoming more schools in the autumn and continuing to inspire the next generation of community leaders.
